red elderberry

i'm not sure if this is elderberry? i didnt know what it was but thought it was a weird looking clump of flowers, then thought they looked like elderberry flowers except that in descriptions they often said that they were..um..  like flat sorta, like umbrella shaped? and this just looks more like on a stem kinda like a lilac, so who knows???
